Black Warrant Review: A gripping tale of vengeance, deception, and high-stakes action
Rating:

Black Warrant is a very high-intensity gritty crime thriller series based on the setting of Tihar Jail, one of India's largest and most infamous jails, in an unforgiving environment. The series is a reality-based experience drawn from the real life of Sunil Gupta, a jailer at Tihar, chronicled in the book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury.

It reveals the hard, and often very brutal world of Indian prison systems, bringing in the emotional, psychological, as well as the physical toll of life inside that jail to the surface. It orbits around a young, ambitious jailer in this story, Sunil Gupta. But there's Zahan Kapoor, who found himself in extremely deep, usually perilous, power arrangements inside the prison system.
