The Six Triple Eight OTT Release: Resilience, Courage, and Breaking Barriers

The Six Triple Eight, a new OTT Release, tells the incredible true story of the 6888th Central Postal Battalion, the only all-Black, all-female unit deployed overseas during World War II. This unit was assigned a critical mission to clear a massive backlog of mail for U.S. soldiers stationed in Europe, where millions of letters had piled up, threatening to lower the morale of the troops.

With their dedication, efficiency, and resilience, these women processed and delivered over 17 million pieces of mail, ensuring that soldiers were able to reconnect with their families and loved ones. Despite facing racial and gender discrimination from within the military and society at large, the women of the 6888th persevered, proving their worth and importance through their exceptional work.
