OTT Releases This Week : Fresh Stories, Big Premieres!

This week's OTT releases introduce a combination of thrilling content on popular platforms. Nadaaniyan, a coming-of-age drama featuring Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, hits Netflix on March 7. The film tells the story of a Delhi girl from a privileged background who pays a middle-class student to pose as her boyfriend. On Prime Video, Dupahiya narrates a laugh-out-loud story of a hijacked motorbike shaking up the serene life of a village, streaming from March 7 as well. 

 

The Waking of a Nation, a period drama about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, is also premiering on SonyLIV on March 7. A political drama inspired by India's Emergency era, Emergency, is also streaming on Netflix from March 14. The Wheel of Time Season 3 keeps the fantasy going on Prime Video, from March 13. Nadaaniyan (Netflix, March 7)


A coming-of-age drama portraying the life of an affluent girl from South Delhi, Khushi Kapoor, goes solo after getting left behind due to a mistaken encounter with friends. She orders a middle-class student with high aspirations, played by Ibrahim Ali Khan, to be her pseudo-boyfriend for some time. It unfolds along the way dealing with the dilemma and change introduced by love, social class distinctions, and evolving.

Based in a make-believe, crime-free village in Bihar, Dupahiya is a side-splitting tale of a motorbike stolen on the eve of a wedding. The motorbike, originally purchased as a present, leads to a funny chase as the bride's family and her former lovers frantically attempt to get it back before the wedding day. The series is a mix of humor and suspense, presenting an entertaining watch with light-hearted scenes.

 

The Waking of a Nation (SonyLIV, March 7)


The Waking of a Nation is a historical drama based on the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. The film depicts the political and legal ramifications of the horrific event. The film chronicles the unwavering struggle of a young lawyer to reveal the truth while up against British colonial rule.
