The film Kauda is directed by the ace director Aditya Sarpotdar, who gave several box office hits including Munjya and Kakuda. The film features Reteish Deshmukh and Saqib Salim in the key roles. Talking about the Kauda, Saqib stated, that when he read the script, he felt like it a extremely funny on paper and the character was a simple guy from a village and he had never played a role like this. After that, he went to meet Aditya. He thought Aditya was a very confident guy who knew exactly what he wanted to do. So, He read the script at night and the next day in the evening they were doing the film.
